The Ash Street Entrance Redesign as pictured above (see Blueprint) is a project that has been in teh works for the past two and a half years. I have worked with Ken Saiki Architectual Firm (West High Class of '72), the Madison School Districts Building Services Department, site-based custodial staff, students, parents, community and faculty and staff on the selection of this design as well as the fundraising effort to assure the successful completion of the project. The $350,000 - $400,000 project will give a new look to one of the most enduring images of West. This face lift is long over due and just one more example of the Master Principal's responsibility in maintaining the integrity and beauty of the building and grounds of the large urban high school.
